  • On-device only

Compression and conversion run in the browser — pixels never leave your phone or computer.

  • No photo upload

During processing the file body does not go over the network. Save mobile data: you are not shipping megabytes to someone else’s server.

  • No ads

We do not show ads and we do not accept your files. We physically never see your photos.

  • We don’t store photos

We do not save images on a server or in the cloud. Open, process, download.

How it works

Your photo stays in browser memory and is not sent to our server during compression. Opening the site still downloads the page as usual. For visit stats we may use Google Analytics: page, device type, button clicks — not file names or pixels. Language choice may be remembered in the browser. Analytics cookies are Google’s; you can limit them in browser settings. You can also press Offline in the header to cache this language’s tool pages and engines on your device; your files are still not uploaded.

Resizing the long edge is a quick way to meet social/CMS limits and speed up pages: fewer pixels mean less weight even at the same JPEG quality.

Set a max on the longer side (default 1920 px); proportions stay. No need to calculate the short side.

Upscaling is technically possible, but sharpness won’t appear: the tool is built for reducing. Files never leave the device.

FAQ

Can I enlarge a photo?

Technically yes, but quality won’t improve. The tool is meant for reducing.

Are proportions preserved?

Yes — resize follows the longer side, so the aspect ratio stays intact.

How else can I shrink size?

After resize, lower JPEG/WebP quality or set a KB target on the home page / “to 100 KB” page.
