We shrink PDFs on your device: each page is rendered and saved as JPEG inside a new PDF. That cuts size for scans and heavy documents.
Important: after strong compression, text is usually no longer selectable — pages become images. Use a lighter level if you need selectable text, or keep the original.
The file body never goes to our server.
For techies
PDF pages are rendered with PDF.js into Canvas, encoded as JPEG, and rebuilt with pdf-lib. After strong compression, text is usually not selectable. While processing, Network only shows site static assets — your PDF body is not uploaded to our origin.
