Make this language offline — Offline button in the header

  • On-device only

Compression and conversion run in the browser — pixels never leave your phone or computer.

  • No photo upload

During processing the file body does not go over the network. Save mobile data: you are not shipping megabytes to someone else’s server.

  • No ads

We do not show ads and we do not accept your files. We physically never see your photos.

  • We don’t store photos

We do not save images on a server or in the cloud. Open, process, download.

How it works

Your photo stays in browser memory and is not sent to our server during compression. Opening the site still downloads the page as usual. For visit stats we may use Google Analytics: page, device type, button clicks — not file names or pixels. Language choice may be remembered in the browser. Analytics cookies are Google’s; you can limit them in browser settings. You can also press Offline in the header to cache this language’s tool pages and engines on your device; your files are still not uploaded.

WebP is often lighter than PNG at a similar look — especially photos and soft gradients. For flat-color icons the gain is smaller; check the preview.

WebP supports transparency: a logo on a transparent background usually survives conversion, but check anti-aliased edges.

Done locally, with no cloud queue. If you need maximum lossless PNG, this mode is not a substitute for oxipng/pngquant.

FAQ

Is transparency preserved?

WebP supports an alpha channel; the result depends on the browser encoder. Check object edges in the preview.

When should I keep PNG?

Small UI, pixel art, text screenshots — if WebP looks mushy. Then resize PNG without changing format.

Is this for an online store?

Yes: cards and banners often shrink without a visible hit. Don’t replace everything wholesale without spot-checking.
